At Wood IQ we use a mixture of real wood veneers, traditional solid timbers and premium grade MDF to create beautiful bespoke furniture and joinery. Our doors are made by our skilled craftsmen using classic mortise and tenon techniques, while our handcrafted cabinetry uses complete carcasses with screws and domino joints. After it’s been lovingly crafted, all our joinery is quality controlled and then expertly installed by us – not subcontracted fitters.
Whether you choose softwood, hardwood or MDF wood for your bespoke order, we recommend it’s professionally painted to fully customise and protect your products. As well as being our manufacturing site, our workshop in Milton Keynes has dedicated spray booths where joinery is prepped and sprayed with meticulous care and attention.
For premium grade MDF furniture, you can pick gloss, matt or satin paint to suit your personal taste. This is applied via a high-end spray finish, which is durable and beautiful. For a more traditional, hand-painted finish to enhance the natural grain of solid wood, we brush on the final coat. Whichever option you go for, the broad spectrum of colours allows you to complement or contrast your furniture with your existing décor.
Our comprehensive spray-painting service is also available to other customers in London and the surrounding areas who wish to transform pieces of furniture made of wood, glass, MDF or metal. To ensure an outstanding finish we only ever use high-quality paints and lacquers. Collection and delivery for this service is free of charge, as is our estimate with turnaround time.
